Event cancellation policy
For All Event Registrations Other than MIP Courses, Council Meetings, NATMI courses, and Truck Driving Championships:
Cancellations must be received via email to mta@mntruck.org or by phone to (651) 646-7351. MTA guarantees your spot with the event venue 10 days prior to the event. Based on your cancellation timing, you will receive the following refund:

10 days or more: MTA will issue you a full refund.

Less than 10 days: MTA will issue you a 50% refund. MTA uses the remaining part of your registration to cover the costs of your reserved spot at the venue.
Council Meeting Refund Policy
Cancellations for Individual Tickets must be received via email to mta@mntruck.org or by phone to (651) 646-7351. MTA guarantees your spot with the event venue 5 days prior to the event. Cancellations must be received 5 days or more before the event to receive a full refund. No refund will be issued for cancellations received less than 5 days before the event. MTA Safety Council Membership/Meeting Packages and MTA Maintenance Council Meeting Packages are nonrefundable, but transferrable to another person in the company.

MIP Courses
Payment is due 15 business days before the class date. Cancellations or reschedules must be received via email to mta@mntruck.org or by phone to (651) 646-7351. Cancellations or reschedules must be received no later than 2 days before the class date to receive a full refund or to reschedule. A voicemail may be left at 651-646-7351 on Sunday for the Tuesday class. No refund will be issued or applied to a future date for a missed class.
Truck Driving Championships
Payment is due at time of driver registration. Cancellations must be received via email to mta@mntruck.org or by phone to (651) 646-7351. Driver registration fees may be refunded for cancellations received no later than 5 days before the event, less a $50 fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received less than 5 days before the event. Individual banquet ticket cancellations must be received no later than 5 days before the event for a full refund. No refunds will be given for individual banquet ticket cancellations received less than 5 days before the event, as MTA will already have guaranteed and paid for your spot.
NATMI Courses
Cancellations: Payment must be received prior to attending course. Registration fees for cancellations received 30 days or more prior to a course can be refunded, less a $50 fee. Cancellations received less than 30 days but no more than 7 business days prior can be refunded, less a $75 fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received 7 or fewer business days prior. Full payment can be transferred to future seminars if the cancellation was made prior to the course. While NATMI makes its best attempt to hold all scheduled courses, occasionally cancellation or postponement is necessary. In such cases, NATMI cannot be responsible for nonrecoverable prepaid travel expenses or fees incurred by a student. Please check course status with NATMI before purchasing airline tickets, etc.
